Bringing Resident Centered Practices to Life
1- Day Seminar
Being truly resident-centred impacts our thinking and our practices. When our actions demonstrate we are “living” a resident-centred approach, a sense of well-being thrives, for the residents living, and the people working, in the home. In this session participants personalize what “home” means and how this relates to the “Residents Bill of Rights.” Participants gain understanding as to the meaning, principles and benefits of being resident-centred and learn how to bring resident-centredness to life by empowering the resident.
The 6 hour session is developed from an adult education perspective, using the following teaching strategies: role play/case study; guided imagery; and collaborative quiz. The session is suitable of all levels of staff, from all departments. |
